Pittore nato nel 1921 ad Aleksandrovka nella regione di Mosca; dal 1941 al 1950 ha effettuato la sua preparazione presso l'Istituto di Stato d,arte "Surikov" di Mosca.
Bogatschev è stato un grande ritrattista ma anche un pittore che amava le scene popolari ed i paesaggi e molto meno la pittura da studio; per queste sue caratteristiche è stato un artista molto amato dal Regime Sovietico che lo autorizzò ad espatriare per far conoscere al mondo le bellezze della Russia.
Nel 1950 iniziò ad effettuare mostre personali e collettive sia sul territorio sovietico che all'estero dove ottenne grandissimo successo.
Painter born in 1921 to Aleksandrovka in the Moscow region; from 1941 to 1950, he held his preparation at the Institute of the State of art "Surikov" Moscow.
Bogatschev was a great portrait painter but also a painter who loved popular scenes and landscapes and much less painting studio; for these characteristics was an artist beloved by the Soviet regime that authorized him to leave the country to let the world know the beauty of Russia.
In 1950 he began to perform solo and group exhibitions both in Soviet territory and abroad where he obtained great success.
