Pittore nato nel 1918 a Tscheljabinsk e deceduto a Mosca nel 2006.
Dal 1936 al 1938 studiò all'università con i Compagni di Kirowsk, denominata "Artisti"; partecipò alla seconda guerra mondiale; durante la sua permanenza al fronte, creò soggetti di guerra e lavori grafici contemporanei; nel 1945 divenne membro dell'associazione degli artisti dell'Unione Sovietica. Wassilij Laptew è prevalentemente pittore di paesaggi, e al centro della sua creazione c'è sempre la natura dei monti Urali.

From 1936 to 1938 he studied at the university with the Companions of Kirowsk, called "Artists"; participated in the Second World War; during his stay at the front, created subjects of war and contemporary graphic works; in 1945 he became a member of the Artists of the USSR. Wassilij Laptew is primarily a painter of landscapes, and the center of its creation there is always the nature of the Ural Mountains.
